London London Fields book well has having enjoyed his father's novel 'Lucky Jim' I was intrigued by 'London Field's. As I don't tend to be able to read very quickly I was a little put off by how many pages Mr Amis's book contained ().
However I was enthralled by this novel. The character's are interesting, a blend of working class and well to do folk/5(). London Fields is a book with a plot so pointless it made me angry, and a cast of blatant stereotypes. It's distinguished by some flourishes of wonderful writing, and the presence of one character who is one of my favourite creations of modern British fiction/5().
